He became even more interested in the DJ scene in 1995 when he bought his first set of decks. By the age of 17, he was already producing his own mixtapes and displaying his skills by spinning at local parties.

After graduating from Rhode Island College, JIGS took a brief hiatus from the music to focus on completing his Graduate Degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Upon returning to the music scene, DJ JIGS did various warm up sets before the doors opened in local clubs and bars. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at bigger events such as The Boiler Room nightclub in Worcester MA and Mixx360 Nightlife located near Boston North Shore.

Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up listening to Hip Hop, Funk, Old School, Dance, Freestyle, Rock as well as Soul and Jazz…Jigs ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he shows off his ability to put together crowd pleasing mixes that integrate all genres of music. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a remixer and producer, JIGS is no stranger to the recording studio. He is constantly working on new projects under his independent label 401 Reckords.
